Recreation Ground

Tintinhull Recreation Ground is a public open space, the land having been gifted to the village in 1932 and registered as a charity in the 1980s. The current Parish Council acts as the charity trustees. It has a children’s play area including swings and slides, together with two Tennis Courts and a Swimming Pool. Often used for whole-village events such as carnivals and fete days, the recreation ground hosts the village ‘Party in the Park’ event

Tennis Court

Tintinhull has two modern, high quality, all-weather tennis courts that are located on the Recreation Ground in centre of the village. The courts are owned by the village and held in Trust. Swimming Pool

Tintinhull swimming pool was dug and built entirely by voluntary labour in the 1930s. Originally run as a local club, the Pool has more recently come under the control of the Parish Council but, to this day, it is still run entirely by volunteers who give up their time to open and manage the pool. Sports Field and Pavilion

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The Sports Field itself is currently part of an Agreement with Tintinhull Youth Football Club which allows them to play multiple football matches for various age groups as well as hold multiple training sessions. The children are allowed to use the outside toilet at the Pavilion. The Sports Field can be sub-divided into multiple football pitches of various sizes for all age groups.
The Pavilion contains two changing rooms (home and away) with toilets, two showers installed in each room, a referee’s changing room and shower which also contains a baby changing table. There is a small kitchen which has a microwave, a kettle, small fridge and two sinks. It is suitable for serving teas and coffees and pre-prepared food (not for retail).
The Pavilion also contains a single larger room which can host meetings, celebrations, birthday parties, youth club etc. The pavilion does not have a music licence. The capacities for this room are 36 seated banquet style, 50 theatre style and 70 standing.
There is a car park located on the far side of the sports field which has a padlocked entry bar and is accessible from Montacute Road. There is path from the car park to the Pavilion. The car park, footpath and the sports field are unlit, which explains the restricted winter opening hours

Allotments

Tintinhull allotments are owned by the Parish Council and located adjacent to the Sports Field and Pavilion at Montacute Road. Allotment rents as of 2018/2019 are set at £10.00 per plot per year or £5.00 per half plot per year.
