Following the merger of the Yeovil and Somerset NHS Trusts there is a discussion going on about the proposed closure of the Acute Stroke Care Centre at Yeovil District Hospital and its relocation to Musgrave Hospital at Taunton. This is seen as hugely disadvantageous to the people living in the Yeovil area, with an added travel time of at least 50 minutes.
The Consultation closed on Monday 24 April 2023. However given the strong opposition to this plan NHS Somerset have confirmed with Quicksilver Community Group that they remain open to feedback on this proposal.
So, we ask that you (people of Tintinhull) join with the residents of Yeovil in rejecting both these proposals provided by Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and any plans for the removal of Hyper Acute Stoke Care, and Acute Stroke Care facilities from Yeovil District Hospital.
