We are incredibly fortunate in having a practically new Village Hall, boasting facilities that most other villages would give their eye teeth for! Super modern accommodation, brilliant AV facilities, air conditioning, fantastic stage equipment – and our very own Coffee Shop! And all this available for hire at relative peanuts.
But facilities like these don’t run themselves. Unlike a commercial operation, charging far higher prices, the Village Hall is almost entirely dependent on volunteers for its operation. And without the enthusiastic involvement of residents of Tintinhull, this wonderful resource could be in danger of closure.
Volunteers’ situations change over time; people get older, circumstances alter, different responsibilities become apparent, so there is a need for others to come in from time to time to take over, to inject new ideas and new life into a hard-working committee.
At the present time we are in dire need of two new members, one to be responsible for liaising with the Coffee Shop permanent staff and the other to look after bookings for the Hall. The duties are not onerous, but they are extremely important.
Do you have a few hours a week that you could devote to maintaining this enviable facility? You would be warmly welcomed by the existing committee and full training and handover would be given.
If you think you could help, please contact Steve Creaney, the committee chairman at firstname.lastname@example.org or just send a message to email@example.com and someone will contact you. Our future could be in your hands!
